Course description

Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina was a composer of the late Renaissance period of musical history. Palestrina was a central figure to the Roman School of church music composition and he is probably best known for his masses and motets which number over 105 and 250 respectively. Palestrina is widely regarded as the leading composer of late 16th-century Europe.
